Surfer's Evaluation and Training (S.E.T.)

Here we look specifically at four cornerstones of an athlete's strengths and weaknesses (Alignment, Mobility, Movement, Training) (A.M.M.T).


Alignment
- First we assess the proper alignment of the body. A postural evaluation can be a great start to visualize where the body's major restrictions can be corrected, showing possible areas of weakness to be improved.


Mobility
-Why is mobility so important? What does not move correctly can lead to a decrease in production and injuries. Assessment of each joint:

Functional Movement Training

Functional Movement
FMS is a tool to evaluate the asymmetries which result in functional movement deficiencies. FMS helps identify imbalance in mobility and stability during fundamental movement patterns.

Seven movement patterns determine a score, helping to concentrate a training program on areas of deficiency, while giving you a measurable outcome to visualize improvement.


Training
After a full evaluation, a specific training program will be implemented to help you progress to reach your body's true potential and maximal output when in the water. Programs will focus on motion, stability, strength, and functional movement, specific to surfing.
